• Racing Time: Oral Historian Travels America to Capture WWII Voices (military.com) — A 103-year-old World War II veteran from Kannapolis, Clyde Church, is sharing his memories with an oral historian from the National WWII Museum to ensure his story is preserved. Church, a former tank driver in the Pacific theater, still keeps busy on his rural North Carolina property and generously shares his garden harvest with family and church friends. His recorded interview will join thousands of other veterans’ voices archived for future generations.
