• No-swim advisory issued for Lake Norman cove after 900-gallon wastewater spill ahead of Labor Day (qcnews.com) — A no-swim advisory is in effect for a Lake Norman cove near Harborside Drive in Cornelius after about 900 gallons of wastewater spilled into the water Thursday night. Lake Norman of Catawba residents who boat or swim around that area should avoid contact with the water until officials say it’s safe again. Charlotte Water says a damaged low-pressure pipe caused the overflow.
