• North Carolina man charged in $5,000 copper wire theft from Madison business, sheriff says (abc45.com) — A Madison business on K-Fork Road reported $5,000 in braided copper wire stolen in late July, and a 28-year-old man has now been arrested on multiple felony charges. Rockingham County deputies say the investigation is ongoing, more suspects may be charged, and the accused is being held without bond ahead of an October 12 court appearance.
