According to detectives, Randall Scott Saxon, 26, of Statesville had been asked to watch the house and take care of animals during that time. Saxon, however allowed two others — identified as Terry Justin Sherrill, 31, of Hiddenite; and Mariah Cynthia Coley, 22, of Stony Point — to stay at the residence for several days. The pair then stole food, a gun and the vehicle, ICSO said.
