Search Is On For Trio Behind Mooresville Food Lion Armed Robbery

The grocery store on Williamson Road was robbed Monday morning by two men who jumped into a getaway car driven by a third suspect.

MOORESVILLE, NC — The Iredell County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community’s help in locating three men wanted in the planned and coordinated armed robbery of a Mooresville grocery store on Williamson Road.

According to Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell, the July 16 robbery occurred around 8:20 a.m. at the Food Lion grocery store located at 835 Williamson Road.

The robbery was a team effort, based upon the event description provided by Campbell. One male suspect — who was described as wearing white“Hollister” shorts, a black and grey short sleeved hooded pullover that said “Brooklyn” and a black Carolina Panthers hat — went to a register to make a purchase. A second male suspect, who was wearing dark shirt and pants and holding a pistol, confronted the cashier and demanded money.
