Alino's Expands Free Pizza Give Away To Frontline Grocery Workers

MOORESVILLE, NC — Alino Pizzeria in Mooresville is showing appreciation for a list of frontline and essential workers by giving away free pizzas Thursday to local healthcare workers, grocery store workers, police officers, firefighters, teachers and airline workers

This is the third appreciation event hosted by the restaurant since the coronavirus pandemic began in North Carolina. The eatery said it gave away more than 4,700 pizzas at similar events held in March and April.

"We're doing this to say thank you. Thank you for everything you're giving to our community," said Alino owner Michael Bay.

Any healthcare worker, police officer, firefighter, teacher, grocery store worker, or airline worker can receive a complimentary whole Margherita or Sorrento pizza for take out by showing their workplace ID.

The offer is available from 11:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. One pizza per person.

The restaurant said it will not be able to take call-in orders on this day.

Aliño Pizzeria is located at Merino Mill, 500 S. Main Street in Mooresville.
