Chilly, Plenty Of Sunshine: Mooresville’s Week Ahead Forecast

MOORESVILLE, NC — The cold start to the work week Monday morning is a harbinger of chilly days ahead this week, according to the National Weather Service. The Charlotte-metro and Lake Norman region awoke Monday morning to frosty temperatures — the first thus far this season — and a frost warning was in effect until 10 a.m.

Temperatures are expected to see saw this week, with Tuesday’s high warming to the low 70s. Wednesday, however, will be almost 10 degrees cooler, with highs dipping dramatically by Wednesday, when the temperature isn’t expected to rise higher than 56. Lows every night this week are expected to stay in the 40s.

Those chilly temperatures will carry into the weekend, NWS said.

Patchy frost before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 64. Calm wind becoming south southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Sunny, with a high near 64. North northeast wind 5 to 8 mph.
