Driver Who Killed Two Mooresville Sisters Was Drunk: Report

Toxicology results say the driver who killed two Mooresville sisters on an Arizona interstate was drunk, according to a new report.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- The driver who killed two sisters from Mooresville in April when he crashed into their car while driving the wrong way on an Arizona interstate had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system, according to a new report.

Kelsey and Karli Richardson were on the way to the Grand Canyon to see the sunrise on April 14 when they were killed on Interstate 17 when they were hit head on by Keaton Allison, 22, who was driving in the wrong direction. All three were killed.

Toxicology reports released this week by the Maricopa County medical examiner in Arizona show that Allison had a .25 blood alcohol content, which is more than three times the state’s .08 legal limit, the Statesville Record & Landmark reported. Allison reportedly drove southbound for six miles in the northbound lane before he hit them, the newspaper said.
