Expect More Rain: Mooresville Weather Forecast
Mooresville can expect to see more rain Wednesday, as western NC suffers flooding, landslides.

MOORESVILLE, NC — An already waterlogged Charlotte metro region can expect to see even more heavy rain Wednesday, with possible gusty winds and cloud-to-ground lightning, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast comes after a day of heavy rains that brought more than six inches of precipitation in western North Carolina, where flash flood warnings are in effect. A section of Interstate 40 in McDowell County, about two hours northwest of Charlotte, was shut down by mudslides in both directions late Tuesday.
“Scattered to numerous heavy rain showers and thunderstorms will develop today and produce occasional cloud-to-ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall,” NWS said in a hazardous outlook bulletin. “Any thunderstorms will produce briefly gusty winds which could knock down a few trees given the saturated soil conditions.”
