Fourth of July 2019: What Is Open, Closed In Mooresville?

Here's a rundown of what is closed on Thursday, July 4 in Mooresville and Iredell County.

MOORESVILLE, NC — As families around the region celebrate Fourth of July with fireworks and cookouts, many services will take a holiday break. Patch has compiled a list of closings you can expect Thursday in Mooresville and Iredell County.

Most all Mecklenburg County offices will be closed Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day, although some facilities will remain open or have modified hours.

Expect the following government offices and businesses to be closed:

  • All Federal offices and courts
  • All state offices
  • All Iredell County offices
  • All banks closed
  • All post offices closed
  • Town of Mooresville offices — closed July 4
  • Mooresville Public Library — closed July 4. As always, when the library is closed, no library materials are due. Book drops will be open, but often over flow. If possible, it is best to bring materials back when the library is open. The library will return to normal hours of operation on Friday, July 5 at 9 a.m.

Trash and Solid Waste Services

  • All Mooresville residential trash collection will experience a one-day delay in trash and recycling collection in the Town of Mooresville.
  • All Iredell County solid waste facilities will be closed Thursday, July 4 and reopen July 5 with regular hours.
