Fourth Of July 2020: What Is Open, Closed In Mooresville?

MOORESVILLE, NC — The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has insured that Fourth of July celebrations will feel a bit different this year, however one thing remains the same — many services will take a holiday break.

This year, Independence Day falls on a Saturday. Patch has compiled a list of closings you can expect in Mooresville and Iredell County.

Most all Iredell County offices will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day, although some essential facilities or services will remain open or have modified hours.

Expect the following government offices and businesses to be closed:

• Federal offices and courts — Closed Friday, July 3
• State offices — Closed Friday, July 3
• Iredell County offices — Closed Friday, July 3
• Banks — Regular hours. Because July 4 falls on a Saturday, the Federal Reserve System will not observe it in 2020.
• U.S. Postal Service — all post offices will be closed, no deliveries
• Town of Mooresville offices — Closed Friday, July 3
• Mooresville Public Library — closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4
• Iredell County solid waste — all facilities will be closed Saturday, July 4
