Here's a rundown of what is closed in honor of the July 4 holiday in Mooresville and Iredell County.
MOORESVILLE, NC — The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has insured that Fourth of July celebrations will feel a bit different this year, however one thing remains the same — many services will take a holiday break.
This year, Independence Day falls on a Saturday. Patch has compiled a list of closings you can expect in Mooresville and Iredell County.
Most all Iredell County offices will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day, although some essential facilities or services will remain open or have modified hours.

Expect the following government offices and businesses to be closed:
- Federal offices and courts — Closed Friday, July 3
- State offices — Closed Friday, July 3
- Iredell County offices — Closed Friday, July 3
- Banks — Regular hours. Because July 4 falls on a Saturday, the Federal Reserve System will not observe it in 2020.
- U.S. Postal Service — all post offices will be closed, no deliveries
- Town of Mooresville offices — Closed Friday, July 3
- Mooresville Public Library — closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4
- Iredell County solid waste — all facilities will be closed Saturday, July 4
