Friend Of Homeowner Charged After Mooresville Break-In: ICSO
Jack Allen Leatherman, 39, was arrested after tools, prescriptions and cash were stolen from his friend's house, the sheriff's office said.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A Catawba, North Carolina man has been arrested and charged with a late-January break-in of a Mooresville home belonging to his friend, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Jack Allen Leatherman, 39, was arrested March 19, and charged in the Jan. 23 heist of the home located at 580 Williamson Road in Mooresville.
According to ICSO, the suspect broke into the home after the victim left to drive his wife to work, and stole prescription drugs, tools and cash.

During the investigation, detectives identified Leatherman as the suspect in the case.
“Leatherman is a friend of the victim and was at the residence prior to the break in,” ICSO said in a statement.

Leatherman was taken into custody March 19, and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was charged with felony breaking and entering; and felony larceny after breaking and entering. His secured bond was set at $5,000.
