Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Unveils Lip Sync Video: WATCH
After days of dropping hints, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office has released its version of the lip sync challenge. Watch it here.

MOORESVILLE, NC — You probably thought the lip sync challenge among law enforcement agencies was over. Not in Iredell County. After days of hinting it had something up its sleeve, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office released its version Thursday morning, and it’s pretty funny.
For more than two months, law enforcement agencies around the country have been challenging one another to a lip sync battle in what's turned out to be a fun exercise not just for them but observers as well. The videos have shown a softer side to police.
ICSO’s video is one of many produced by police departments throughout North Carolina. Winston-Salem Police Department accepted the lip sync challenge and released a video earlier this month.

In what could only be described as an eclectic display of musicality, ICSO deputies and staff twirled air lassos, thrust their hips and tried their hand at stage acting to a musical backdrop of The Sugarhill Gang’s “Apache,” Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise,” a bluegrass number and even that ear-worm of a song “Let It Go” from Frozen.

While many police departments went with perky ditties, such as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's feel good pop song "Can't Stop The Feeling!" by Justin Timberlake, Winston-Salem went straight to the club, relying on some of the best hip-hop standards to get officers moving. Mooresville Police Department even got in on the fun last month.
