Iredell County Sheriff To Serve On Prestigious National Board
Sheriff Darren Campbell has joined the board of directors of the National Sheriff's Association, which represents more than 3,000 sheriffs.

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell has been chosen to join the board of directors of the National Sheriff’s Association, an organization that represents more than 3,000 sheriffs, the Alexandria, Virginia-based organization said Wednesday.
“We are honored to have Sheriff Campbell serve on our Board,” said NSA President Sheriff John Layton. “Sheriff Campbell brings a breadth of experience serving his community as Sheriff and serving in law enforcement for the past two decades for the people of Iredell County.”
He is the first sheriff from North Carolina to serve on the board, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

NSA is considered one of the largest professional law enforcement organizations in the U.S., representing 3,080 sheriffs.
“I am honored and humbled to have been appointed to the National Sheriff’s Association Board of Directors, and the only Sheriff from North Carolina to serve in this capacity,” Campbell said in a statement. “I am looking forward to working with Sheriff’s from across the nation and having an opportunity to bring attention to issues that affect law enforcement both locally and nationwide.”
