IREDELL COUNTY, NC — An Iredell County woman accused of harassing, stalking and trespassing now faces felony charges after driving by the victims’ home one day after her release from jail, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Melinda Brown Little, 54 and of Troutman, is accused of stalking the victim at various locations around the county, beginning in late June, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Monday.

The victims filed a report with authorities July 2, accusing Little of stalking and trespassing on their family property.

Little was not a stranger to the victims, according to ICSO. “The victims originally had taken out charges on this suspect in 2017,” the sheriff’s office said. “Since this time Brown has continued to harass, stalk and trespass on the victim’s family property at different times.”

Following an investigation, Little was arrested July 8 and charged with misdemeanor second degree trespass, misdemeanor cyberstalking and two counts of misdemeanor stalking. She was released on a $3,000 secured bond.

“As part of the bond release instructions, Little was ordered to not go around or harasses the victims,” ICSO said.

The next day — July 9 — Little drove by the victim’s home shortly before 9 a.m.

Following an investigation by the sheriff’s office that gathered additional evidence of her going to the victim’s home and business, Little was arrested again July 12 and charged with one county of felony stalking. Her secured bond was set at $25,000.
