Mooresville Trick-Or-Treating Hours For Halloween 2019
Mooresville kids will soon hit the sidewalks in search of candy on Halloween, Oct. 31. Here's trick or treating hours, tips from officials.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Halloween falls on a Thursday this year, and with just two weeks to go, people are searching for the perfect costume and best joke. In Mooresville, trick-or-treaters will be out and about on Halloween night. While the Town of Mooresville doesn't have set hours, according to a town spokesperson, most kids hit the street between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., so drivers should be extra vigilant then.
For a safe trick-or-treating night, parents should remember to:
- Check all treats to ensure they are sealed and do not have any foreign objects.
- Carry a flashlight and wear reflective clothing.
- Plan costumes that are bright and reflective. Make sure that shoes fit well and that costumes are short enough to prevent tripping, entanglement or contact with flame.Light up the house at night. If a sword, cane, or stick is a part of your child's costume, make sure it is not sharp or long.
- If you have a security camera, make sure it's pointed at the front door.
- Always check through your peephole before opening the door.
- Bring a cell phone in case of an emergency.
- Young children, excited about the night of trick-or-treating, should be supervised by a responsible adult.
- Do not walk on the street — stay on sidewalks and cross streets when safe at intersections and crosswalks.
