‘Most Wanted’ Iredell Suspect Nabbed, Faces ATV Theft Charges
Joshua Rick Bass, 32, was arrested in connection to five ATV thefts in Iredell County, according to the sheriff.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — One of Iredell County’s “most wanted” criminal suspects wanted in connection to the thefts of at least five all-terrain vehicles has been arrested while trying to flee authorities off-road on one of the stolen vehicles, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Joshua Rick Bass, 32, of Mocksville, NC was arrested June 7 in the Duck Creek Road area in Statesville, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
According to ICSO, deputies were in the area attempting to locate Bass, who is also wanted on multiple outstanding warrants for larceny of a firearm and possession of counterfeit instruments. The officers spotted Bass riding a four-wheeler on Skyuka Road heading towards Moose Club Road and attempted to stop him.

Bass, however, refused to stop and fled off road, onto a trail in the woods. Deputies apprehended him on the trails and took him into custody without further incident, ICSO said.
The ATV Bass was driving had been reported stolen two days prior, authorities said.

Bass was charged with four counts of felony larceny of a motor vehicle, and felony breaking and entering. He was also served with numerous outstanding warrants for possession of counterfeit instrument, felony flee to elude and misdemeanor resist, obstruct and delay. His secured bond for all charges was set at $133,000.
