Repeat Beauty Salon Burglary Suspect Caught In The Act: Sheriff
Iredell authorities have charged Phillip Todd Stroud with three counts of breaking into the same beauty shop after he was found inside.

HARMONY, NC — An Iredell County man was arrested and charged with multiple breaking and enterings of the same business — a Harmony beauty salon — after deputies found him inside it around 1 a.m. Thursday morning.
According to an account by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, two breaking and enterings had already been reported at the beauty salon located at 2535 Sandy Springs Road in Harmony between late September and this month, prompting deputies to conduct extra security checks at the location.
On Thursday morning, around 1 a.m., deputies conducting a security check noticed the business’ front window had been smashed out.

“Deputies then searched the business, and discovered Phillip Todd Stroud inside the beauty salon,” ICSO said in a statement about the incident.
Stroud, 49, was arrested and taken into custody for questioning. Based on evidence collected from the previous break-ins, he was charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny after breaking and entering. His secured bond was set at $5,000.

Iredell Sheriff Darren Campbell, however, said he thought the bond amount was too low and is attempting to get it increased.
“This man is a prime example of the repeat offenders our deputies, and our community deal with a majority of the time,” Campbell said. “Due to a close working relationship between the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iredell County District Attorney’s Office, a Notice of Hearing to increase the bond amount has been filed in District Court”.
Stroud has previous convictions for felony breaking and entering, misdemeanor indecent exposure, misdemeanor breaking and entering, felony common law robbery, felony attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor assault on a governmental official, felony malicious conduct by a prisoner, and felony robbery with a dangerous weapon.
