Roaches, Mold In Refrigerator: Mooresville Kitchen Inspections

An inspection at Captainβs Galley, for example, found roaches in a walk-in refrigerator that also had standing water and mold developing, the kitchenβs hand washing sink filled with melting ice and lemon slices and shelving in need of a βthorough cleaning.β
At Thelmaβs Down Home Cooking, an inspector found fish thawing improperly in standing water, kitchen equipment in need of organization and sitting on the floor, and no one on site in the kitchen certified in food protection.

At Lotus Chinese Restaurant, an inspection found an ice machine in need of cleaning, wet towels laying on a cutting board and work surface and a bowl of beef kept at a potentially hazardous temperature.
