Tip Leads To Raid Of Illegal Strip Club In Iredell County: Report
David Yates said the stripper pole in his "man cave" was used by his wife and daughter for exercise, according to one report.

IREDELL COUNTY — After receiving a community tip, law enforcement agencies raided a garage they say was used as an illegal strip club behind an Iredell County home, and found drugs, alcohol and weapons, according to reports.
Among the items found during the Feb. 1 raid of the “Buster’s Strip Club” facility was marijuana and malt beverages and liquor, which authorities say resident David Yates sold without the proper license, according to WSOC.
Yates told the station off camera, however, that the stripper pole in his “man cave” garage was exercise equipment used by his wife and daughter, and called the raid a misunderstanding.

The pole, along with a giant swing, were taken as evidence by investigators, Fox 46 reported Monday.
Yates told the station that while “women friends did come over and use the stripper pole,” he never profited from it.

“These locations attract individuals who buy and sell illegal controlled substances, weapons and violence which puts a strain on local law enforcement services,” said North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement assistant special agent in charge Meredith Shoaf said in a statement.
