Two Yadkin Men Charged After North Iredell Break-In: Sheriff
Two Yadkin County men were arrested this week following a breaking and entering of a barn containing an antique vehicle.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Two Yadkin County men were arrested this week after a barn containing an antique vehicle was broken into in Harmony, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
The Jan. 22 incident occurred on North Meadow Road off East Houstonville Road, according to authorities.
“When the deputies arrived at the location, tire tracks were located showing where the suspects had driven around a gated drive which led to several barns on the property,” ICSO said in a report.

Inside one of those barns was an antique vehicle, which had been tampered with, authorities said.
During the course of the investigation, investigators interviewed witnesses and two suspects were identified, according to the sheriff’s office: Cody Grant Groce, 32, of Yadkinville, and Bobby Wayne Potts Jr. 31, of Hamptonville.

Investigators received felony arrest warrants for both suspects, however, by the time they were issued, Groce was found in custody at the Yadkin County Jail for a parole violation, ICSO said.
Groce was served with the Iredell County warrants for felony breaking and entering; felony breaking and entering to a motor vehicle and misdemeanor first degree trespassing. A magistrate in Yadkin County set his secured bond at $3,000.
Potts was arrested at his home and taken into custody by Iredell County Sheriff’s deputies Jan. 27. His secured bond was set at $2,500.
