• Rescue groups face urgent need after pigs recovered from extreme hoarding case in Morganton (wspa.com) — More than 150 pigs were rescued from a severe hoarding situation in Morganton earlier this year, and local partners say the crisis isn't over. Burke County Animal Services and regional sanctuaries have stabilized the animals, but dozens still need homes and donations as costs soar and colder weather approaches.
