• Dog with special needs, ‘Hot Wheels,' gets a second chance with help from Chatham County (wral.com) — A special-needs dog named Hot Wheels is getting life-changing care thanks to the Chatham Sheriff’s Animal Resource Center and Pittsboro Animal Hospital, which fitted him with a custom wheelchair. Now living with a medical foster through Freedom Ride Rescue, he’s gaining mobility and stability while he prepares for a future adoption into a permanent home.
