The court gave the General Assembly until 5:00 pm on February 18 to complete new maps, however according to Senator Ralph Hise, "We didn't get a lot of direction as to what would be considered an acceptable map." The Bridge to Home Program was announced in December and awarded $4.7 million to various organizations to provide Wake County residents will "receive the best possible care and find a path to permanent housing."
