Join us as we celebrate Addie’s 3rd birthday in the most meaningful way we know — through play, connection, and community. Addie’s ʻOhana Open Play is a special community event created to honor Addie’s joyful spirit and love for play while bringing families together in the true spirit of ʻohana — because family means no one is left behind or forgotten.
This event reflects Addie’s love of laughter, imagination, and fun. By filling the room with play and connection, we honor her legacy while continuing the mission of Adelaide’s Army of Hope.
Registration: Registration is free, but required to participate. Each registered child will receive one designated hour of open play to allow families to enjoy the experience comfortably and safely.
What’s Included: Families can enjoy a variety of fun and engaging experiences, including: Open play stations designed for movement and creativity Sensory play opportunities
Water play activities (weather permitting)
Sno cones provided for families Holy Fries food truck will be onsite for purchasing A special guest appearance A welcoming space to connect with other families and celebrate Addie’s birthday together
Special Add-On: Themed goodie bags will be available for purchase, with proceeds directly benefiting Adelaide’s Army of Hope and supporting their mission to bring hope and comfort to children and families.
Additional Ways to Support: While registration is free, donations will be accepted at the door for those who wish to support the ongoing work of Adelaide’s Army of Hope, including initiatives such as Baskets of Hope, Butterfly Kisses, and future Spaces of Hope projects.

Roaming Readers is an audiobook club with a twist! On June 7 from 9:30–11 a.m., hit the trails in RTP for a morning of fresh air, light movement and literary adventure. Each month, Roaming Readers will explore a different genre with suggested selections curated in partnership with Durham County Library and Wake County Public Libraries. You are always welcome to chart your own course and select any book of your choosing. Our Library partners have titles available from Hoolpa or Libby, making it easy to borrow and press play.
This month’s suggested selection is titles that celebrate Pride month. Suggested titles include Gay the Pray Away by Natalie Nauus, Queer as Folklore by Sacha Coward or My Darling Dreadful Thing by Johanna Van Veen.
Bring your phone, headphones, a water bottle, and, if you’d like to sign up for a library card, a photo ID.

Senior living communities answer many important needs: •	Nutrition: 3 meals a day with no dishes to wash. •	Safety: Front door opens into the hallway of the community. Help with meds. •	Transportation: Community provides transportation to medical appointments, shopping and outings. •	Social: Familiar company at meals. A variety of activities including gardening, crafts and music. Which senior living community best fits her needs? Which senior living communities will accept her? Which senior living options are affordable? The average cost of assisted living $5,500 per month. Who pays? (Hint: not Medicare.) What happens to the house? the contents? How best may a family stay informed of her status?
