Join us for a special evening reception and panel discussion celebrating the 50th anniversary of Raleigh’s Capital Area Greenway System.

Explore a new mini exhibit highlighting Raleigh greenways and learn more about the system’s beginnings, its growth and impact over the past five decades, and what’s ahead.

Raleigh Parks Director Stephen Bentley will offer remarks, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Adam Forman, Assistant Director of Raleigh Parks. Panelists Chuck Flink, Jared Harber, Sig Hutchinson, Lisa Schiffbauer, and Iona Thomas will share perspectives on the greenway system’s past, present, and future and its role in connecting communities, supporting recreation, and enhancing quality of life across Raleigh.
