RALEIGH, NC — Ever wanted to have a casual chat with a police officer? Well here's your chance. Raleigh police are inviting residents to talk over a cup of coffee Wednesday at several local restaurants and businesses as part of National Coffee with a Cop Day.
The day is meant to help break down barriers between residents and officers, build trust and discover goals that both police and community members share.
"This is an opportunity for residents to speak with Raleigh officers in a friendly, casual atmosphere without agendas, presentations or speeches," the department said in a statement.
