Chesterbrook Academy in Cary Donates 500 Toys to Children in Need

Students collected toys for Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in Cary recently took part in Mix 101.5’s toy drive to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County. For the past month, students worked together to collect more than 500 gifts, including toys, games, books and art supplies. Because they collected more gifts than any other school in the area, students received a special visit from Mix 101.5’s “Two Men and a Mom” morning crew, who stopped by the school to pick up the gifts. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving to those in need, especially during the holiday season.

Boys & Girls Clubs has been serving Wake County, N.C., children and teenagers to help them reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens for over 50 years. The organization operates seven neighborhood Clubs across Wake County, with an amazing Teen Center in the heart of Raleigh.
