Chesterbrook Academy Preschool & Elementary Donate 1,000 Books

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool & Elementary School in Raleigh Hosted a Schoolwide Book Drive to Benefit the Book Harvest of Durham

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in Raleigh recently held a book drive for the Book Harvest of Durham. Overall, the school collected and donated more than 1,000 books for local children and families in need. Book Harvest of Durham is an organization that provides an abundance of books and ongoing literacy support to families and their children from birth and serves as a model for communities committed to ensuring that children are lifelong readers and learners.

The school also recently spread some holiday cheer by creating handmade winter-themed cards for residents at Abbotswood at Stonehenge, an assisted living facility in Raleigh. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of giving back to their community.
