In June, the City of Raleigh released a call for ideas to rethink how residents and visitors engage in the downtown area. Thank you to employees and community members who submitted some great ideas!

Several submissions we received relate to programs the City of Raleigh and Downtown Raleigh Alliance have in the works, so we wanted to share some resources for locating these upcoming events in the downtown area:

Many of the ideas have great potential and have been shared with City departments and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance for future consideration. Two outstanding ideas are receiving recognition from City Council at their August 17, 2021 meeting. The first is the installation of interactive kid-friendly public art; the second is the creation of a scavenger hunt/mobile tour of downtown.
