See the latest announcement from the City of Raleigh.
Sep 24, 2021
The City of Raleigh has re-opened canoe and kayak launches along the Neuse River from Falls Dam to Anderson Point. The Poole Road river access remains closed due to construction activities in the area.
Please note that log jams at the New Bern Avenue/US 64 bridge and the railroad bridge just downstream of the Anderson Point Park river access are still present, but navigable channels have been opened at both locations through cooperative efforts including the City of Raleigh, NC Department of Transportation, and the Coastal Carolina Railway Company. Conditions can change quickly so continue to use caution when paddling.
