The days are getting shorter, Raleigh. Stay safe and stay seen in the darker mornings and evenings. 

Lighten Up, Raleigh is an annual safety campaign brought to you by Commute Smart Raleigh. The campaign begins in November and lasts until the end of December. It encourages residents to lighten up by wearing reflective clothing, carrying flashlights and practicing safe bicycling rules when it is dark outside.

Commute Smart Raleigh is hosting a kickoff event for the Lighten Up, Raleigh campaign. Join the Art to Heart - Bike and Bus Practice Commute on Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. You can learn tips and tricks for a safe and visible commute.
