- MyComputerCareer is a Raleigh-based tech company that is working to help veterans transition to civilian life with careers in IT. The division known as Military Operations is headed by veteran Ryan Sattelberg. (CBS17)
- Fayetteville has been partaking in a program that allows food delivery by drones. The company, Flytrex is partnering with Causey Aviation to start the program, and it is preparing for expansion to Wake County. (WNCT9)
- North Carolina State University researchers are studying water in Pittsboro after cancerous chemicals were found in the water in 2020. The sample found chemicals in a river that provides water to more than a million people across North Carolina, including PFAS between two and five times higher than the national average. (CBS17)
- A Garner woman is facing murder charges after the death of Delquan Douglas at his home on Halloween. Police were called to the home for an incident and left without charging anyone, but were called to return only a few hours later in response to the shooting and death of Douglas. (WRAL)
- Detective Omar Abdullah has been on paid leave for more than a year following a number of drug arrests that were dismissed. The men who were wrongfully arrested won their lawsuit against the city, and now Abdullah has officially been terminated for his role in spite of his 12-year tenure. (WRAL)
