Here are the top stories in Raleigh today:

  1. A flight headed to Florida was forced to make an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Saturday after a "fume/odor event." One of the 102 passengers had to be taken to WakeMed following the incident. (WAVY)
  2. A car wreck on NC 50 near Old Creedmoor Road caused an SUV to overturn. The road was closed in both directions for around 90 minutes following the incident. (CBS17)
  3. Wake County will be offering all three COVID-19 booster doses beginning today. (WRAL)
  4. Saturday had an unusual string of violence as multiple incidents were reported in the area overnight. (WRAL)
    • The first victim walked into WakeMed after being shot near the State Fairgrounds.
    • Around 11:30 pm the second shooting was reported on the campus of St. Augustine's University.
    • A shooting occurred outside if UNC Rex Hospital on Lake Boone Trail. (CBS17)
    • Wake County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an incident on I-40 that involved people in two vehicles shooting at one another. (WRAL)
    • The Cary Police identified the suspect in Wednesday's fatal shooting at a Cary apartment complex. While Raleigh Police were assisting with the arrest, a standoff led to shots being fired at officers and returned. (abc11)
    • Police in Garner are searching for suspects in a shooting that occurred after a fight at Carolina Ale House. (abc11)
