Here are the top stories today in Raleigh:

  1. The NC State Fair has called it a wrap. Numbers for the closing weekend are not available yet, but the year's attendance is trending to be the lowest turnout since 2008. (abc11) Although the final weekend numbers aren't available, the fair manager estimates around 720,000 total attendance for the event. (abc11)
  2. Police are investigating a walk-in shooting victim that came to WakeMed around 6:15 am on Monday morning. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and no suspect information is available at the time. (CBS17)
  3. A Raleigh-Durham apartment complex sold for a record-setting $122 million. Blue Heron Asset Management sold the Indigo Apartments after acquiring them in 2018 and working to revamp the community. (WMBF)
  4. A Harris Teeter in Fuquay-Varina was closed to the public following a bomb threat on Monday morning. The threat that was sent via text message to the store's management is still being investigated, although the store has reopened. (WRAL)
  5. NC State University professor Rob Handfield studies the global supply chain and is predicting the shortages will continue well into 2022. North Carolina meat and poultry processing plants have been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, with similar issues having created a variety of problems extending far beyond North Carolina businesses. (WFAE)
