- Raleigh police have released officer body camera video taken during the interactions between officers and the suspect in the October 13 mass shooting at Hedingham. The compilation of footage begins as officers approach the outbuilding where suspect, Austin Thompson, was hunkered down. The footage also shows the shooting of Officer C. Clark during gunfire exchange. All six officers who exchanged gunfire with the suspect are on administrative leave per department protocol. (abc11, CBS17, FOX8, Spectrum News 1, WRAL, YouTube)
- Newly released 9-1-1 audio has come out that provides insight into the shooting that took place at North Hills on Thanksgiving weekend. During the recording, the caller claims to be a former law enforcement officer and identifies the victim as his son. The caller also says in the call, "I just shot him or he shot himself!" No charges have been filed in the incident as of now, but according to defense attorney and former RPD officer Lee Turner, the suspect's status as a possibly retired law enforcement officer could play a role in charges. The case will likely be presented to the district attorney before decisions regarding charges are made. (abc11, WRAL)
- Raleigh police have spent months drafting a policy and getting community feedback and have officially released the new de-escalation policy. On Wednesday, RPD released the 3-page policy that addresses different scenarios, including what to do in the event of a non-compliance situation, saying that officers should act if there's a safety threat, a suspect escape, medical emergency and several other factors. RPD will be using more than $118,000 in federal grant funding to create a longer-term training program and policy. (CBS17)

Not including Tuesday's incident, eight coyotes have been struck in the last 20 years at RDU. (abc11, WCCB)
- Wake County deputies are searching for two individuals. Elizabeth Lynn Torres, 29, is believed to be in danger due to possible cognitive impairment, but they do not have an official diagnosis. The sheriff's office tried to issue a Silver Alert for Torres but were told it did not meet the criteria for one. (CBS17) The Sheriff's Office also confirmed it was looking for a missing 5-year-old by on Wednesday night. The search for Montrell Copeland has not met the government requirements to be classified as an Amber Alert. (CBS17)
