Here are the top five stories in Raleigh today:

  1. Thousands have travelled from across the U.S. to be present for Dreamville. Raleigh hotels are filling up this weekend as The Visitor's Bureau reports most downtown hotels already sold out. Long lines were seen formed outside of the merch pop-up shop on Friday night. (abc11) One couple even turned their tragedy into a good deed by giving away their Dreamville Festival tickets as they had to attend a funeral elsewhere this weekend. (CBS17)
  2. Construction on Phase 1 of the Raleigh Iron Works is underway. When finished, the mixed-use development will be home to shops, offices and apartments. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2022, with those who will occupy the space able to move in in the third quarter of the year, and retail and residents in early 2023. (CBS17)
  3. Two vehicles were involved in a bad crash on Ten-Ten Road and Rand Road overnight on Friday. At least one of the vehicles was badly damaged as well as a brick wall near the entrance of the Rand Meadows neighborhood. Officials have not released any word on if anyone was injured or the cause of the crash. (WRAL)
  4. As Wake County continues to expand, the City of Raleigh is working on the development of a new bus route that would connect downtown Raleigh and downtown Cary. Stops along the route would include Pullen Park, Dorothea Dix Park, and NCSU's campus. A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:00 pm to discuss the proposal. (CBS17)
  5. The N.C. Museum of Art is featuring a new exhibit that sheds light on environmental issues. "Fault Lines: Art and the Environment" opened Saturday and features art from all over the world. Many of the pieces are made from recycled materials and explore topics like climate change, pollution, species and habitat loss and restoration. (Spectrum News 1)
