Here are the top stories in Raleigh today:

  1. WakeMed Milk Bank is seeking donations as premature births are increasing. The WakeMed Milk Bank provides 250,000 oz. of donated breast milk to 44 NICUs in 8 states, and the babies depend on antibodies that breastmilk provides to protect them. (abc11)
  2. Just after 6:30 pm a Thanksgiving crash caused an all-lane closure of I-40 eastbound. The wreck was caused when a drunk driver ran off the road into a guardrail causing a five vehicle chain-reaction crash. The driver who caused the incident is expected to face charges. (CBS17)
  3. One shopper is prompting gender-affirming change after an uncomfortable experience at Crabtree Valley Mall. Devin Pearson, they/them asked to use the "family restroom" at the mall and was denied access even after sharing their gender identity. After several emails and a meeting with mall management, the location now has an "all gender restroom" available. (WRAL)
  4. Small businesses downtown are testing designated parking spaces for holiday shopping. Owner of Flourish Market, Emily Grey, hopes that the change will bring more people to downtown especially for Small Business Saturday. (abc11)
  5. The Raleigh Police Department is asking the public to give input as it pursues re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The Assessment Team will take comments on Monday, November 29 via phone call between 3:15 pm and 5:15 pm, or in a public information session on Tuesday, November 30 at 4:00 pm. (CBS17)
