  1. North Carolina's Principal of the Year has been awarded to a Raleigh principal. Dr. Elena Ashburn is the first Wake County principal to receive this honor since the early 1980's (The News & Observer)
  2. Raleigh criminal justice reform advocates are asking lawmakers to expand the Second Chance Act, passed in 2019. The act serves as a pathway for individuals to have their criminal history expunged if they meet certain criteria, the push would allow more people to be able to have their records cleared after demonstrating lasting reform. (abc11)
  3. Local tattoo artist under fire after taking payments and then ghosting his clients. Devin Foulkrod of Chronic Tattoo's has reportedly gained thousands of dollars for promise of discounted tattoo sessions, and then leaving clients blank and without refunds. (abc11)
  4. Raleigh man charged in the death of Sharen White earlier this week. Santago Oslo White is husband to the deceased and has been taken into custody. (CBS17)
  5. Ashley Christensen's new chain, BB's Crispy Chicken has given us the first glimpse into what its future holds. You can now get a sneak peek at some of its offerings. Locations will be opening Summer 2021 in Raleigh, Cary, and Durham. (WRAL)
