Happy Roast Chestnuts Day Raleigh!

I feel like every day I feel more and more tired. I thought winter was when the nights are longer, but goodness there's so much to keep us up at night. I'm really working on making time for myself. Personally, I have two kids, a full time job, and very little spare time. You probably are getting tired of me telling you to take time for yourself, but it's a reminder that I constantly need, so I pass it on to you as well. Whatever helps you find yourself before you head out for the day, make time for it, unapologetically. I hope that I can help you find your center, and get caught up on:

  • Suspect arrested in connection to NCSU assaults.
  • A Cards Against Humanity tournament to attend
  • Letters to Santa, deadline today

But first, today's weather:

A p.m. shower in places. High: 48 Low: 41.

Thursday in Raleigh:

From my notebook:

  • It's Roast Chestnuts Day and the most local chestnuts you're going to get are from High Rock Farm. Thankfully, even more locally, Weaver Street Market can supply the North Carolina chestnutty goodness you crave.
  • Today is the last day to drop off your letters to Santa at any one of the community centers in Raleigh! (City of Raleigh Facebook)
  • Health officials are waning about elevated metrics, and urging precautions while partaking in holiday travel. (abc11)

You're officially in the loop for today! See you all tomorrow for another update.
