New Homes, Old Charm – Construction Underway in Wake Forest

Residential real estate development coming to historic downtown Wake Forest - 85 new townhomes to break ground in 2018

Construction will soon be underway for 85 new townhomes in downtown Wake Forest. The new development, Retreat at Renaissance by Stanley Martin Homes, is expected to break ground in January 2018.

Located only blocks from the enlivening Wake Forest downtown district, Retreat at Renaissance homebuyers will have parks, restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops and a local brewery all within walking distance.

“Downtown Wake Forest is walkable, affordable, charming and neighborly; it’s quickly emerging as one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the Raleigh metro – especially for first-time homebuyers looking for a strong investment,” says Anthony Ascolese, vice president of sales for Stanley Martin Homes in Raleigh.

Retreat at Renaissance is being built in partnership with the North Carolina Brownfields Program, a state initiative to support land re-use and area revitalization. In addition to helping revitalize unused land and contributing to a cleaner, healthier neighborhood, homebuyers are eligible for a net tax savings of approximately 50 percent (cumulatively) over the first five years of ownership (under a special tax exclusion provided by the Brownfields Program and North Carolina’s tax statutes).

“We feel fortunate to be part of the Wake Forest revival and North Carolina Brownfields Program,” says Ascolese. “Building new, safe and healthy homes through Stanley Martin’s Green Living Program, we’re building a more vibrant community for generations to come.

Each townhome within Retreat at Renaissance is being built with green-living design and practices to increase comfort while reducing monthly costs and environmental impact.

For Prospective Homebuyers

Ranging from 1,894–2,498 square-feet, Retreat at Renaissance townhomes feature three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and private garage. Among many homebuyer options, the third-floor loft and rooftop terrace is most unique to the area.

Model home tours will begin in April 2018; pre-construction home sales are now available. To learn more about features, options and pricing, click here or call 919.373.3832
