Downtown is currently at about 96% occupancy with 93% locally-owned businesses. After an audit last year revealed millions of dollars in overspending, the department was given many key recommendations that have not been implemented as of yet. The DOT says they have started doing some things and making some changes, but the results will not be clear until next year's audit. (WECT)
