Here are the top stories in Raleigh today:

  1. On Saturday there was another rally calling on state lawmakers to eliminate PFAS from food packaging. The "forever chemicals" have been linked to serious health problems and with federal money approved to clean up America's drinking water, local groups are trying to spread awareness around the issue. (CBS17)
  2. Health officials are warning that there is a high risk for a measles outbreak this year. According to the CDC, 22 million infants did not get their measles shot last year. Parents should be on the lookout for high fevers and spots in their children's mouth because it can have serious consequences. (CBS17)
  3. Local's are mourning as a Raleigh teen was killed in Greensboro this weekend. 15 year old Christian O'Neal was shot at 6:00 pm on Friday night and died later from his injuries. There is no word as of yet regarding what led up to the shooting, but the case is under investigation. (abc11)
  4. There were two Wake county car accidents that had major impact over the weekend. On Saturday a crash closed down two of the three westbound lanes on I-40 near exit 309. (WRAL) The second crash left one teen dead and four others injured in Morrisville after the vehicle flipped over. (abc11)
  5. Two North Carolina men were released from prison after nearly 30 years for a murder they say they didn't commit, thanks to the NC Center on Actual Innocence. (WNCT9)
