Raleigh 2017 Election Results: Mayor McFarlane Gets Fourth Term

McFarlane, forced to a runoff, pulled it out.

Raleigh voters went to the polls Tuesday and decided overwhelmingly to re-elect Nancy McFalane as their mayor. It will be a fourth two-year term for her.

McFarlane took home 31,469 votes or 57.79 percent of the ballots cast, handily beating her opponent, Charles Francis, who received 22,983 votes or 42.21 percent of the ballots cast.

It was not expected to be that big a margin of victory for McFarlane.
