Here are the top stories in Raleigh today:

  1. Tomma Hargraves of Raleigh was given a 15% chance of living through her cancer diagnosis, but defied the odds. Now she is giving back to others fighting the same disease, and has been awarded the Catalyst for Change Award and $50,000 for her initiative. (CBS17)
  2. The City of Raleigh is launching new holiday curbside pickup zones throughout downtown. The zones will allow quick stops at retailers with maximum 30 minute time limits. Businesses can request additional zones by contacting Raleigh Parking. (Patch)
  3. Raleigh Police were able to bust a home break-in on Sunday afternoon after a neighbor called 911. The burglary was reported just before 1:15 pm on Roanoke Street. The two men fled on foot and police were able to catch one of them. (CBS17)
  4. Raleigh Police are searching for a mother and her two children. A Silver Alert was issued on Sunday night for Michelle Prather Servary after being last seen on NCSU's campus. No foul play is expected, but police are concerned for their wellbeing and they may be headed for Atlanta. (WRAL)
  5. North Carolina Community Colleges will be expanding the Longleaf Commitment Grant program to 2020 high school graduates. All 58 community colleges in NC are participating in the program to help students through federal pandemic relief funds. (abc11)
