  1. The Wake County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday that three people have been arrested in the string of northern Wake-County break-ins. The sheriff's office said that the arrests are related to more than 40 separate incidents. Isaac Joshua Munoz and Keshaun Christopher Byrd of Raleigh, as well as Nelson Gomez Perez of Durham were all charged with a variety of charges. A teenager who was reported missing in Pennsylvania was also found in the custody of the three suspects. (abc11, WRAL)
  2. Friday's storms brought down trees throughout central North Carolina, leaving 220,000-plus residents without power. Multiple trees fell at Dix Park, forcing the cancelation of the Oberlin Village Heritage 5K run and walk. Some residents who rely on wells also reported that they were without running water. (abc11, CBS17, Spectrum News 1, WRAL)
  3. A Saturday morning crash killed one and injured three others. The crash happened around 4 a.m. at North Raleigh Boulevard and Mulberry Street. 4. Saturday, approximately 40 young people from southeast Raleigh travelled to Washington, D.C., to take part in a rally to protest against systematic racism and poverty. The march was part of the Poor People's Campaign, which originated with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. The group of young people hope to follow in the footsteps of great change makers and were excited to participate in history. A non-profit, Justice Served North Carolina, took the 40-plus youth to the event. (WRAL)
  5. The river at Anderson Point Park is one of four in N0rth Carolina that failed the Swim Guide Test with high levels of e. coli. Sound Rivers is a group that monitors several areas, and volunteers gathered samples from 54 popular recreation sites in Raleigh-Durham on Thursday. The Anderson Point site was the only one in the Triangle to measure above the recommended state and federal water-quality standards. Experts with Sound Rivers say that swimmers and pets should avoid the water or use caution. (CBS17)
