The Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department will be building a new playground at the North Hills Park. Thanks to funding from the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources 2014 Bond Referendum and the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association (NCRPA) Healthy Play and Recreation Imitative, this new playground will benefit the community and create a fun environment for all who visit North Hills Park.
The North Hills Park playground was originally built in mid-1990s and is in need of upgrades to meet current needs and guidelines. The new playground will be designated as a National Demonstration Sites for data collection, and will contribute data to highlight best practices and outcomes achieved in early childhood development.
