• Life Without Parole For Clayton Man Who Killed Girlfriend, Shot Her Son (jocoreport.com) — A Johnston County man from Clayton has been sentenced in Smithfield to life in prison without parole for killing his girlfriend and shooting her teenage son during a March domestic violence incident near Clayton. Prosecutors say the swift plea deal, reached just four months after the homicide, spared the family a capital murder trial while ensuring he never leaves prison.

What your neighbors are talking about on social media
- For many years we have had Whitetail deer mostly from the same family bedding down at night in the wooded area behind our house, and by early morning, they head back down towards the river.
Now days with all the construction ripping out all the woods on either side of our neighborhood, the deer linger in our wooded area all day and… (Nextdoor Eden Woods) - Thanks to the storm last night, I need to find someone who can re-cement (is that the right thing to say lol) the posts of my fence.
Looks like they just put just enough to keep the post in the ground. Also need to replace the door to my metal fence. (Nextdoor West Market)
