• NC appeals ruling that it mismanaged the state's coastal fisheries (valawyersweekly.com) — North Carolina's appeal of a court ruling over mismanaging coastal fisheries could shape future rules for shrimpers and other fishermen working out of Sneads Ferry and nearby communities. A Wake County judge found the state failed to protect fish stocks, and now regulators, commercial fishermen, and recreational anglers face years of uncertainty as the case moves to the Court of Appeals and potential remedies are debated.
