• Town announces discharge of 1766 gallons of untreated wastewater (sandhillssentinel.com) — Town officials report that about 1,766 gallons of untreated wastewater spilled into Mill Creek near 125 Lakeside Court in Southern Pines on April 13. Utilities crews cleared the obstruction within about 40 minutes and carried out cleanup and sanitizing; residents with questions are urged to contact Public Works during business hours.
